How Does HIFU Work?
HIFU stands for High Intensity Focused Ultrasound. Using targeted depths, we are able to reach the SMAS (muscle membrane) which is connected to the dermis. When we target this SMAS with HIFU the collagen remodelling process tightens this layer, in turn lifting the upper layers of the skin with it.
This treatment has fantastic results and generally only required once a year with a 6 month follow up. Your regular services can still be performed to ensure maximum skin health.
The HiPro-V HIFU device not only treats skin rejuvenation but also targets spot fat reduction improving loose skin on the body and is very effective in remodelling the connective tissue reducing the appearance of cellulite. Treatment areas are priced on consultation, generally needing 3 treatments spaced 1 month apart. Areas that can be treated are: upper arms, stomach, hips and thighs.

We allocate 2 hours for this service as it includes a consultation, pre photo’s and full treatment. The Therapist will customise your treatment and specific areas of concern.
Is HIPRO-V HIFU painful? Is numbing cream required?
The HiPRO-V HIFU has NO downtime. Some clients experience slight discomfort during the treatment, swelling, redness, tingling or tenderness to touch especially around the jaw line is common however these are only temporary and subsides within 24-48 hours. Numbing cream is not required as it cannot reach the depth that we are working on during the treatment, so therefore it will have no benefit.
When will I see results?
Although Immediately after your HIFU treatment you may notice changes the true result won’t be seen for 3-6. During this time Collagen remodelling takes place and the skin becomes tighter with a rejuvenated appearance.
Post treatment instructions:
It is normal for the area treated to have redness and swelling. It is not common but possible for bruising to develop.
- Makeup can be applied immediately post treatment.
- Waxing, tweezing and depilatory creams can be resumed 3 days post treatment.
- Avoid hot tubs, saunas, steam rooms and exercise post treatment. However, all other normal activity can be resumed.
- A non-exfoliant cleanser and light moisturiser can be used the day of treatment. No active serums are to be used until 2 weeks post treatment.
- Botox, Dysport, Chemical Peels and Dermal Fillers are not to be performed before treatment and can be resumed 3 months post treatment.
- Metal implants in the face and mouth are a contraindication and treatment cannot be performed.
The treatment is $1500, a complimentary Omnilux is also included in this price at the 3 month follow up appointment.
