Daniela Boerma | Beauty Therapist, Director
I began my journey in the beauty industry in 1983, training at the prestigious Eileen Lazar Academy of Beauty Therapy in the Strand Arcade, Sydney. I hold a Diploma of Beauty Therapy, along with additional qualifications in Aromatherapy and Electrolysis, and am internationally certified with both ITEC and CIDESCO. My passion for advanced treatments led me to complete a postgraduate Diploma in IPL and Laser, Light Studies at The Sydney Beauty and Dermal Institute in 2010–2011, specialising in permanent hair reduction, skin rejuvenation, and laser tattoo removal.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of owning and operating four successful salons, each with strong, high performing teams. In 2013, I purchased Bliss Day Spa, where I have continued to grow the business into an award winning destination for advanced skin and beauty treatments. Under my leadership, Bliss Day Spa has received numerous industry accolades, and I am proud to have personally won Beauty Therapist of the Year at the Australian Beauty Industry Awards in both 2015 and 2016 and In 2022 I was honoured to receive Business Director of the Year as well as Business Person of the Year at the Sutherland Shire Business Awards.
My expertise in equipment and technologies is extensive. I pride myself on staying at the forefront of innovation, constantly researching and implementing the latest modalities to ensure Bliss Day Spa remains an industry leader.
In 2019, I became a certified life and business coach, and today I am proud to be a business coach with Total Coaching Academy, where I mentor and support fellow beauty professionals in building sustainable, thriving businesses. Sharing my knowledge, especially in business development and advanced equipment integration, has become one of the most fulfilling aspects of my career.
With over four decades of experience, I continue to be inspired by the evolution of this incredible industry and remain committed to empowering others, both clients and fellow professional to reach their highest potential.
